Now what was interesting at the time was that there was virtually no marketing for the film and it bombed at the box office. I remember maybe one ad on TV and it wasn’t very compelling. It wasn’t even widely advertised when it was released on DVD, which was when I finally saw it, and of course it was amazing.
A couple years later, and I ended up working with some artists who’d worked on the film and apparently there were a lot of politics involved at WB, including the shuttering of Warner Digital who did the work – basically WB allowed the film to fail. Don’t you think it’s weird that even now it’s never been released on Blu-Ray?
